Every year, the City of Zeeland partners with a selected, local non profit organization to host a series of charming Christmas events downtown. Feel the Zeel of Giving is a three day series that celebrates the warmth and nostalgia of the holiday season in a small town. Visit downtown Zeeland and create loving Christmastime memories with your family.
During FEEL THE ZEEL OF GIVING and you will find horse-drawn trolley rides, a visit with Santa, live reindeer, Santa’s mailbox, extended holiday shopping hours, in-store promotions and more! Proceeds from this event will be donated to a local non profit.

Horse-drawn Trolley Rides
The trolleys meet approximately in front of Zeeland Hardware, Etc. (122 E Main Street).Trolley rides are $2 / per person.No advance reservations for trolley rides.Tickets will be available for sale on site beginning at 5:30 pm each night; you may purchase tickets for any open time slot.First come first served. Tickets are only available for same day rides.The trolley will depart every 15 minutes, two trolleys will occupy Main Street on Wednesday & Thursday; three trolleys will be available Friday evening.
A Visit With Santa
Children are invited to have their picture taken with Santa Claus, located inside Zeeland Hardware, Etc,122 East Main. Santa hours are December 7-9 from 5:30-8:00pm. Suggested $2 donation.
An official Santa Mailbox will be located outside of 122 E. Main the first two weeks of December. Children are invited to write letters to Santa Claus and send them to the jolly old man. Santa will then personally respond, by mail, to each child.
Pet Santa’s Reindeer
Come down to meet two of Santa’s reindeer!They will be on display next to the Splash Pad park, next to the city fireplace.
Shields of Hope West Michigan
A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Shields of Hope West Michigan, a non organization comprised of local public servants, who volunteer their time. to spread hope, love and encouragement to those in their community affected by cancer through fundraising and other supportive measures.
