The building inspection function of this department is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Building Code, Property Maintenance Code, Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code, Electrical Code, Barrier Free Design Code, Energy Code, Zoning Code and other related city ordinances. Building Permit Application, Electrical Permit Application, Land Use Application, Mechanical Permit Application, Plumbing Permit Application, and Planning Commission Application are processed by this office for the various permits. This department also provides administrative support and is the staff liaison for the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and the Construction Board of Appeals.
