Projected Street Projects for 2011

Central Avenue (from Taft to Lee)
Cherry Street (from Church to Centennial)
This project was a complete reconstruction of the road and is now completed with the road open to traffic. As part of this project, the road was reconstructed with new sewer, new water main, underground electric and decorative street lights. The road remained the same size post-construction, with new curb and gutter.
Lindy Street (from Main to Central)
This project will be a complete reconstruction of the road and is currently underway with completion projected for late September.
Central Avenue (from Taft to Lee)
This project began in early June and is currently on schedule. It is also a complete reconstruction of the road (reconstruction of the street and most of the underground utilities, new curb, gutter and sidewalk, telephone and power lines moving underground and decorative street lighting will also be installed). This project is slated to be completed by the end of August.
Bikepath
The City also plans to install a bikepath on Fairview Avenue between Main and Washington, and east on Washington down to Zeeland Hospital.
